Terms of Use
Welcome to Pesoloan (pesoloan.app). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of this website, including its articles, guides, tools and links. By using the website you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. What this website is
pesoloan.app is an independent information and comparison website. We publish articles, guides and tools about online lending in the Philippines. We are not a lender, a bank, a financing company or a broker. We do not approve loans, take applications, set interest rates, collect payments or hold money. We are not affiliated with the Pesoloan app or with Masaganang Buhay Finance Philippines Corporation, and we do not speak for any lender.
2. Information only, not advice
Everything on this website is general information. It is not financial, legal, tax or investment advice, and it does not take your personal situation into account. You are responsible for your own decisions. Before you borrow, read the lender's disclosure statement and loan agreement, check the lender's registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and, if you need advice, speak to a qualified professional. Our disclaimer explains these limits in more detail.
3. Accuracy of content
We work to keep our content accurate and clear, and we explain how in our editorial policy. Even so, laws, rates, company details and lender terms change, and we rely on public sources that may be incomplete or out of date. We make no promise that the content is complete, current or free of errors. If you find a mistake, please tell us at admin@pesoloan.app.
4. Who may use the website
You must be able to enter a binding agreement under Philippine law to use this website. Lending apps usually require borrowers to be at least 18 years old, and our content is written for adults.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the website for any unlawful purpose or in a way that breaks these Terms,
- copy, scrape or republish large parts of our content without permission,
- try to disrupt the website, gain unauthorized access or introduce harmful code,
- use our name, logo or content to suggest that we approve, endorse or operate a lender or a loan,
- use the website to harass anyone or to publish another person's personal data,
- misrepresent your identity or your connection to us.
6. Third-party websites, apps and lenders
Our pages link to and mention third parties, including regulators, news outlets, app stores and lenders. We do not control them, and we are not responsible for their content, services, rates, fees, collection practices or privacy practices. A link or a listing is not an endorsement, a guarantee of approval or a statement that a lender is suitable for you. Any agreement you make with a lender is between you and that lender. Check each lender on the SEC's public lists, and read our guide on how to check if a lending app is SEC registered.
Some links to lenders may be tracked links, and we may receive compensation from some third parties. This is explained on our affiliate disclosure page.
7. Tools and calculators
Our calculator provides an estimate only, based on the numbers you enter. It is a general tool for online loans and does not show the actual rate, fees or repayment schedule of any lender. Actual costs depend on the lender's terms. Always rely on the disclosure statement you receive from the lender.
8. User reports and third-party statements
Where we describe what borrowers report, we are referring to statements made by third parties that we cannot verify. We label them as reports or allegations, and we do not present them as established facts. Descriptions of regulator actions are based on public records and news reports at the time we checked and may change.
9. Intellectual property
The text, structure, graphics and design of this website are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by Philippine and international law. You may read, print and share links to our pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may quote short extracts with a clear credit and link back to the source page. All other rights are reserved.
Names, logos and trademarks of lenders and other third parties belong to their owners. We use them only to identify the companies we discuss, and their use does not mean that the owner endorses us.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our operators, writers and service providers are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website, including loss caused by a decision to borrow or not to borrow, by reliance on our content, by the acts of a lender or by errors or interruptions. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Philippine law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to be responsible for claims, losses and costs that arise from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the website, to the extent permitted by law.
13. Privacy
How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Suspension and changes
We may change, suspend or remove any part of the website at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on this page is the current one, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute will be handled by the proper courts of the Philippines, subject to any rights you have under law that cannot be waived.
16. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
17. Contact
For questions about these Terms, write to admin@pesoloan.app or visit our contact page.
18. Using the website responsibly
We built this website to help people make careful decisions about borrowing. A few reminders apply whenever you use it. Borrow only what you can repay from your income. Treat messages that ask for fees before a loan is released, for your one-time password or for payment to a personal account as red flags, and read our guide on online lending scam red flags. Keep screenshots of loan terms and every payment receipt. If a collector threatens or shames you, remember that SEC rules prohibit it, and use the steps in our guide on debt collection rules and your rights.
Finally, remember that the existence of a page about a lender on this website is not a recommendation to borrow from it. Use our pages to ask better questions, and then make your own decision.
