Pesoloan Issue: What Problems Do Users Report?
Users most often mention five kinds of problems: payments that do not show as received, confusion with similarly named apps, uncertainty about the rate and fees, collection calls and messages, and difficulty reaching support. These are reports from individual borrowers, not confirmed findings. Most can be reduced by confirming the lender, reading the disclosure statement, paying only through the app and keeping every receipt.
When people search for "Pesoloan issue," they rarely mean one specific problem. They want to know what could go wrong and what they can do about it. Below we group the problems that borrowers describe in public places, say what is documented, and give a practical next step for each. None of these items has been confirmed as the company's practice, and experiences vary.
Issue 1: Payment Made but Loan Still Shows as Unpaid
What is reported. A review on the App Store describes a borrower who paid ₱2,000 to an account number they believed belonged to the company, only to see the loan still unpaid and overdue. We cannot verify the account details or what happened.
What is documented. Nothing beyond the review itself. It shows how easily a payment can go astray when the receiving account is not the one displayed in the app.
What to do.
- Pay only through the repayment option shown in your app.
- Keep the receipt and reference number.
- Email support@pesoloan.ph with your registered phone number and the receipt.
- Do not pay again until you have an answer.

Issue 2: Mixing Up Pesoloan With Similar Names
What is reported. Searches for "pesoloan" bring up warnings about apps with similar names. Some are separate companies.
What is documented. The SEC has acted against other platforms: Pesoloan Mart, listed under Microdot Lending Corp., was covered by a cease-and-desist order reported in October 2025. Pesolending was named in a 2026 SEC advisory, and a February 2026 advisory listed a separate app titled "YiuconCredit-loan app & pesoloan." Pesoloan itself appears in the SEC's recorded list under Masaganang Buhay Finance Philippines Corporation.
What to do. Match the developer name and the SEC number. Our article on whether Pesoloan is SEC registered shows how.
Issue 3: Confusion About Interest and Fees
What is reported. Borrowers compare screenshots and quote different figures.
What is documented. The Google Play listing states a maximum annual rate of 31%, and the company's loan-process pages state a "maximum 15% per month." The two statements use different bases, and fees and penalties are not detailed in the store text.
What to do. Read the disclosure statement in the app before you accept, and compare the amount you receive with the amount you must repay. Our guide to the Pesoloan interest rate shows worked examples.
Issue 4: Collection Calls and Messages
What is reported. Some borrowers say they received frequent reminders after a short delay, messages to people in their contact list or messages with threats. These accounts appear on government FOI portals and social media.
What is documented. The SEC prohibits threats, shaming and contacting people in your contact list other than the guarantors or co-makers you named. We did not find a published SEC order naming Masaganang Buhay or Pesoloan. Read our full breakdown of what borrowers report about harassment.
What to do. Save screenshots and call logs, contact the lender in writing and, if the behavior continues, report it to the SEC or the National Privacy Commission.
Issue 5: Trouble Reaching Support
What is reported. Some borrowers say it is hard to get a reply or that support is not available when they need it.
What is documented. The company publishes a support email and hotline numbers, and its loan-process page lists hours of 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. We did not find an official claim of 24-hour phone support. See the Pesoloan contact number page.
What to do. Email with full details and screenshots, call during the listed hours and keep records of each attempt.
Issue 6: Fake Agents and "Fee" Requests
What is reported. Borrowers across lending apps describe messages from people claiming to be agents, asking for fees to "cancel" a loan, raise a limit or speed up approval.
What is documented. The SEC has warned about copycat platforms that imitate legitimate lenders. Pesoloan's official pages describe repayment and re-loan through the app.
What to do. Do not pay anyone who contacts you first. Check the sender against the published contact channels, and read our guide to online lending scam red flags.
Issue 7: Borrowing More Than You Can Repay
What is reported. Borrowers describe taking a second loan to pay the first, which can lead to a repayment cycle.
What to do. Borrow only what you can repay from your income and speak to the lender before a due date if you are in trouble. Our article on multiple loans explains the risks, and the Pesoloan overdue payment penalty page covers what the rules say about late charges.
How to Check a Claim You Read Online
Before you trust or share a claim about any lending app:
- Is it about the right company? Match the app name, developer and SEC number.
- Is there a document, such as a regulator order or advisory, or only a personal post?
- What is the date? Rules and practices change.
- Does the claim say who confirmed it?
When to Escalate
If a problem remains after you contact the lender in writing, you can use official channels. Unfair collection can be reported to the SEC, data privacy problems to the National Privacy Commission and threats to the police. Keep every record. If you are looking at options before you borrow, you can compare online lenders before you borrow on our main page, and read our guide on whether Pesoloan is a good lending app for a balanced list of strengths and weaknesses.
Next Steps
If you are still choosing a lender, you can compare lenders side by side and run the SEC check on each.
